I’m McKenna
Your elopement photographer, planning partner,
storyteller, adventurer & Artist

You’re not looking for a photographer who shows up, points a camera at you, and leaves. You’re looking for someone who gets you: your relationship, your vision, the weird specific thing you love about each other that doesn’t translate to a Pinterest mood board.
That’s the work I do, and it starts long before your wedding day.

Who I Am
I started my career in interior architecture, and when I fell in love with travel, I realized I didn’t want to spend my life in an office, so I pivoted to photography full-time (and I haven’t looked back).
What that background actually means for you: I think in environments. When I’m scouting locations and building your timeline, I’m thinking about light, space, movement, and how a place feels to be experiencing, not just how it photographs. Your day is designed with intention, not just documented.
I’ll hike to a summit before sunrise, trudge through snow, and do everything in my power to document your moments beautifully. I once sat directly into a cactus at Saguaro National Park mid-shoot because I was too focused on documenting the moment to notice. (It took an hour to get the spines out… worth it though, the photos were great!)
The point: I’m the kind of photographer who goes all in. Not because it’s my job, because I genuinely can’t do it any other way.
What this means for your day
When we work together, you get more than photography coverage. You get someone who already knows your story before your wedding morning starts.
From our first conversation, I’m learning what matters to you… what your day needs to feel like, which moments you don’t want to miss, where you’ve always wanted to go. That understanding shapes everything: the location list I build for you, the timeline we plan together, the way I move through your day so nothing feels staged or stiff.
By the time we show up together, you’re not managing anything or wondering if it’ll come together, you already know it will.
And when you get your gallery back, you’re not looking at performative versions of yourselves. You’re looking at the two of you, living in a moment you never want to leave.

MY PHILOSOPHY
Be Present
To fully experience something, you have to be all in. My entire approach is built around helping you get there (removing the logistics, the decisions, the day-of stress) so what’s left is just you, your partner, and the day you actually wanted. When you’re present, your true emotions shine through. That’s what makes the photos feel real.
Document HonestLy
I photograph moments as they happen, not as they’re ‘supposed’ to look. The imperfections, the quirks, the unexpected laughs, those are what makes a moment memorable, and makes your story worth telling. Those are the ones you’ll keep coming back to. Honest documentation means your gallery looks like yours.
Sometimes, the little things are the big things
Your relationship isn’t always made up of grand gestures. It’s morning coffee, the way you laugh at each other’s jokes, the tired cuddles, the quiet joy watching an evening sunset. Those little moments deserve to be documented and celebrated, too.

What I Do
(beyond elopements)
Photography is my primary work, but it’s not the only thing I create.

Elopement + Microwedding Photography
The core of what I do: adventure elopements and intimate weddings, documented in the most incredible destinations. Worldwide travel included. Planning support built in.

Couples + Engagement Sessions
Photo sessions built around an experience, not a pose list. These feel like movie stills of your relationship.

Fine Art Travel + Landscape Prints
Landscape and travel photography from fleeting moments on the road. For people who want their walls to hold something real.

Photography Education + Mentorships
Mentorships and digital courses for photographers who want to master the art of storytelling in their photoshoots.

Book Rebindings
Custom hardcover redesigns and rebound versions of of beloved stories into keepsake art. This started as a side hobby and went viral on TikTok, now I have an Etsy shop.
What ties it all together?
Storytelling & Exploration
Every project I take on isn’t just about creating something beautiful, it’s about creating something meaningful.
